Dozens of people are reported to have been killed in an air strike on a refugee camp in rebel-held northern Syria, monitors say.
Images on social media showed tents destroyed at the Kamouna camp near Sarmada in Idlib province, close to the Turkish border.

Islamic State militants staged attacks on Thursday between their Libyan stronghold of Sirte and the city of Misrata, killing five people, officials said.
The jihadist group said it had taken control of several villages in the area following attacks on checkpoints, though reports that local security forces had retreated could not immediately be confirmed.

Israeli aircraft struck five Hamas targets in Gaza on Wednesday in response to mortar rounds fired at Israel from the coastal territory run by the Islamic militant group, the military said.
The military did not specify what was hit, saying only that “Hamas terrorist infrastructure” was targeted in southern Gaza. Palestinian media reported that open areas were struck as well as a guard post. No injuries were reported.

The Libyan army under General Khalifa Haftar on Wednesday began attacking an Islamic State (ISIS) stronghold in Sirte.
The attack goes against an ultimatum issued by the national unity government under Fayez Al-Sarraj to halt all military operations in the region.

Reports are emerging of a series of small scale attacks by Burma Army forces against Kachin Independence Army positions throughout Kachin State, and on the Shan-Kachin State border.
Free Burma Rangers, a frontline humanitarian aid agency, has reported that the attacks have led to “several” civilian casualties including a 60-year-old woman, killed and a 7-year-old girl, badly injured by gunfire.
