Members of Sudan’s Troika have condemned the Sudanese government’s aerial bombardment of civilians in Kauda and Heiban area of South Kordofan including the bombing of St. Vincent Elementary School on 25 May.
The rebel Sudan People’s Liberation Movement/North (SPLM-M) said the government warplanes dropped barrel bombs on Heiban area on 1 May, killing six children from one family.

Turkish military sources have said their forces killed a total of 104 Daesh terrorists in Syria on Friday.
Speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media, Turkish military sources said Saturday that their artillery killed the terrorists who were on the verge of firing rockets towards nearby Turkey.

Two Puntland soldiers have been killed and three others wounded while defusing a mine planted in a field in restive Galgala on Wednesday, Garowe Online reports.
Puntland officials have not given public comments on the deadly landmine explosion as witnesses report of heavy clashes in southwestern Somalia.

Two pro-Russian rebels were killed and another injured in fresh clashes with government forces in the country’s war-torn east as simmering violence showed little sign of abating, separatist authorities said today.
The new casualties came the day after Ukraine scored a major diplomatic victory by securing the return of Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko as part of a prisoner swap with the Kremlin.

Iraqi security forces and supporting militias have retaken the key town of Karma from ISIS, the government’s first significant victory in its push to reclaim Falluja, a spokesman for Iraq’s Joint Operations Command said Thursday.
The recapture of Karma, about 16 kilometers (10 miles) northeast of Falluja, brings most of the territory east of Falluja under government control.
