One Ukrainian soldier was killed and another injured in fresh fighting between pro-Russian rebels and government forces in the country’s separatist east, the military said Sunday.

Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mansour has been killed in a US drone strike, a senior commander with the militant group has said.
Mullah Abdul Rauf told The Associated Press on Sunday that Mansour died in the strike late Friday night.

Sudanese media say fierce clashes between two clans of one tribe this week in the country’s southern West Kordofan State, have left dozens dead.
The independent Shorouk TV said on Friday at least 37 people died in the fighting, which took place on Tuesday, between the branches of the Hamar tribe, an ethnic Arab tribe.

Pakistani officials say six Islamic militants were killed ahead of a planned attack on a university in the central Panjub Province.
Counterterrorism police officials said on May 20 that a group of militants was in the district of Dera Ghazi Khan near the city of Multan when police attacked them and engaged in a shoot-out.

Forces loyal to Libya’s UN-backed unity government pushed Daesh terrorists back towards their stronghold of Sirte on Wednesday but lost more than 30 men, including seven killed in a car bombing, officials said.
In a televised statement from the streets of Abu Grain, military spokesman Mohammad Al Gasri said the forces had “liberated” the small town and two nearby villages after heavy fighting.
