At least five people have been killed and 28 others wounded in two series of suicide bombings on a predominantly Christian village in northeastern Lebanon near the border with Syria, officials said.
Four suicide bombers blew themselves up early on Monday in the village of Qaa in the Bekaa Valley, killing five people and wounding another 15, the state-run Lebanese News Agency reported.

Fighting between Yemeni government forces and Shiite rebels raged Sunday on several fronts, killing 41 people, officials said, as UN chief Ban Ki-moon arrived in Kuwait to push forward peace talks.
The Iran-backed Houthi rebels pressed ahead with attempts to advance towards the strategic Al-Anad airbase, in the southern province of Lahj, a military official said.

At least 131 Daesh (ISIS) fighters were killed in an ongoing clash with Afghan security forces in Nangarhar province, Afghanistan on Saturday, reported TOLO news.
The fight that started on Friday, after over 600 Daesh rebels attacked security force members in Nangarhar, has resulted in the death of seven security forces members and five civilians. 31 others were injured, officials confirmed.
As the clashes continue, over 200 local police members have been deployed near Sayed Ahmad Khail and Sepai villages.

Islamist militants stormed a hotel in central Mogadishu, Somalia’s capital, on Saturday afternoon, killing at least six people in what has become a well-established tactic to sow terror.
According to witnesses and government officials, the attack started around 4 p.m. with a car bomb at the gates of the Naso Hablod Hotel, before fighters ran in and shot at guests.

Former Bari regional commissioner, Abdisamad Mohamed Galan and Puntland troops clashed on Thursday
The fight took place on the outskirts of Armo following an assault on Galan’s base by the Puntland troops.
Speaking to radio stations in Mogadishu over the phone, Galan said his forces destroyed an armored vehicle which belonged to the Puntland forces.
