At least 10 people were killed and over 25 others injured in armed clashes between rebel factions in Bambari in the east of the Central African Republic.
“At least 10 people were killed and there were more than 25 wounded in clashes that erupted on Monday in Bambari,” an officer of the gendarmerie told AFP on Tuesday.

Bombings rocked three cities across Saudi Arabia on Monday, including near the Prophet’s Mosque in the holy city of Medina, raising the specter of increasingly coordinated attacks by militants seeking to destabilize the monarchy.
A suicide bomber struck near the United States Consulate in the coastal city of Jidda in the morning, wounding two security officers. Then, near dusk, when Muslims were ending their daily Ramadan fasts, other blasts struck near a Shiite mosque in the country’s east and at a security post in Medina, killing four guards, according to the Saudi-owned Al Arabiya television network.

The Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) say they have launched new attacks on major oil and gas installations in the Delta region.
The oil facilities, they said, belonged to Chevron, the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

At least 83 people died in a bomb attack on a busy shopping street in the Iraqi capital in the early hours of Sunday morning, as Islamic State militants target civilians as they lose ground on the battlefield.
A further 137 were injured in the bombing and the ensuing fire in Baghdad’s Karada neighborhood, according to a health official who declined to be named because he was not authorized to speak to the media. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it had targeted Shiite Muslims.

Two people were killed and 18 were wounded early Saturday in the southwestern Somali town of Baidoa in a mortar attack by suspected Shebab militants, a senior official said.
“Shebab militants fired mortar shells late last night, striking different neighbourhoods in Baidoa,” the governor of Bay region, Abdirashid Abdullahi, told AFP.
