A Fierce fighting between Somaliland and Puntland forces broke out early on Sunday morning in Sanag, a disputed region in northern Somalia, reports said.
Reports just reaching us from the region indicate the warfare between the two sides started at Booda-adde area, which is located near Baran town in Sanaag region.

Suicide bombings at two army checkpoints in Yemen’s south-eastern city of Mukalla killed six soldiers and injured 18 others on Monday.
“A car bomb targeted Al Ghabr checkpoint, and a bus with explosives targeted Broom checkpoint,” the command of the second military region, which includes Hadramout province, said. It said both bombings took place at 6.10am.

The Islamic State (Isis) group claimed responsibility for the truck attack that killed 84 people in Nice on France’s national holiday, a news service affiliated with the jihadists said Saturday.
Amaq quoted an Isis security source as saying one of its “soldiers” carried out Thursday’s carnage “in response to calls to target nations of coalition states that are fighting (Isis)”.

A local official in Afghanistan’s central province of Uruzgan warned that the entire province is in danger of falling to Taliban militants.
Mohammad Zaher Naderi, member of Uruzgan provincial council, said the province is on the verge of collapse with extensive assaults by the Taliban.

Syrian government forces closed the only road leading into and out of rebel-held parts of the northern city of Aleppo on Sunday, besieging hundreds of thousands of people and raising fears of a humanitarian crisis, opposition activists said.
The siege marks the biggest success for the government in Aleppo since rebels captured parts of the city in the summer of 2012. Aleppo, Syria’s former commercial center and the country’s largest city, has been contested since then.
