At least 5 Libyan brigade members were killed with 28 injured, as forces made fresh push to capture grounds from Islamic State militants, in the centre of North African stronghold of Sirte.
According to authorities, the fighting was focused on the “Dollar” neighbourhood, about 1.5 km south-west of the middle of Sirte city.
Nearly all Sirte’s residents have left the city, and shots and artillery-fire rang out amid emptied buildings, now used by both sides for cover.
