Turkey: 10 soldiers killed in Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) attacks in southeast

At least 10 Turkish soldiers were killed and seven others were wounded on Sept. 26 in two separate attacks by the militants of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the country’s southeast.

Six soldiers were killed in an atack on a checkpoint in Şırnak, while four others were killed in a roadside bomb attack in Mardin’s Derik district.

Somalia: Heavy clashes between Somali soldiers and al-Shabaab militants in south, 10 people killed

Southwest state forces have carried out attacks in Lidale district in Bay region, targeting al-Shabaab base in southwestern region of Somalia on Saturday, Garowe Online reports.

At least 10 people, including seven al-Shabaab militants and three Somali soldiers were killed on Saturday, after state forces raided al-Shabaab base in Lidale district, General Ibraahim Yarow, a Senior military advisor to the Somali National Army confirmed the reports to local media.

Afghanistan: 99 ISIS and taliban terrorists killed in last 24 hours

According to Afghanistan Defense Ministry press office, in the last 24 hours Afghan security forces led mopping-up operations in some parts of the country killed 99 insurgents including 41 ISIS terrorists and 43 Others wounded and detained 2 others, BNA news reports.

According to another report, 4 national army soldiers were also martyred during the clashes with armed insurgents.

Iran: Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI) claims to have killed 10 Iranian soldiers

The Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI) claimed on Saturday to have killed at least 10 soldiers of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) last week.

A statement released on the PDKI website said clashes between Kurdish forces and IRGC soldiers erupted on the evening of Sep. 18, in the Mukrian region of Iranian Kurdistan (Rojhilat).

Democratic Republic of the Congo: Clashes between security forces and militia loyal to Kamwina Nsapu in Kananga kill at least 13 people

At least 13 people are reported to have died after Kananga city in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) witnessed two days of deadly violence. The city’s security forces engaged in a battle with militia fighters who were reportedly seeking revenge for their leader’s death.

The fighters were loyal to a tribal chief named Kamwina Nsapu from the Luba ethnic group, who was killed by the military during a shootout in August. Ever since he returned to the country from South Africa in April, he had been opposing the central government.
