Egypt’s armed forces said on Tuesday that eleven militants were killed and five others were injured in a shootout with security forces in North Sinai.
In its statement, the military said that 19 “wanted criminals” were arrested and three warehouses containing smuggled goods were destroyed in al-Arish, Rafah and Sheikh Zuweid.

Military and medical officials say that dozens of fighters have been killed in the past 24 hours in battles outside the Yemeni capital between forces loyal to the internationally-recognized government, backed by a Saudi-led coalition, and Shiite rebels.
Officials say Tuesday that battles for control of the mountainous town of Sarwah, east of the capital, have intensified as pro-government forces aim to break a months-long stalemate and clear the way toward Sanaa.

Taliban terrorists claimed responsibility for two bomb blasts Monday near the Afghan Ministry of Defense in Kabul that killed nearly two dozen people.
Saleem Rasooli, head of Kabul hospitals, told CNN at least 24 people had been killed in the attack — which also injured 91 others.

At least 11 soldiers were killed as Libyan government forces pushed deep into the last Daesh stronghold in the northern Sirte city.
Akram Kleo, a spokesman for the Musrata hospital, said 11 corpses were admitted to the hospital on Saturday.
