Libya: 20 Libyan troops killed in clashes in Benghazi
At least 20 members of the Libyan National Army (LNA) have lost their lives over the past two days as they engaged in clashes with militants in the port city of Benghazi, an informed source told PressTV.
The same unnamed hospital source also claimed a further 40 LNA troops were wounded in the clashes.
LNA spokesman, Fadel al-Hassi, claimed that at least seven militants were killed in Benghazi’s Guwarsha district on Wednesday.
The LNA is loyal to the country’s eastern government based in Tobruk, rather than Libya’s capital of Tripoli in the west.
