16 Turkish soldiers fighting Daesh terrorists were killed and 33 others were wounded in four different suicide attacks carried out with armed vehicles on the 120th day of Operation Euphrates Shield in northern Syria’s al-Bab, the Turkish military said in a statement on Wednesday.
The death toll and the number of wounded increased from four and 18 respectively.

German officials on Tuesday released the chief suspect in the gruesome terrorist attack against a Christmas market in Berlin, launching a nationwide search for an attacker whom the Islamic State claimed had acted on the terrorist group’s behalf.
Early in the day, the authorities announced that they had the arrested a 23-year-old Pakistani asylum seeker who arrived in Germany last December as a suspect. But as the day progressed they expressed uncertainty that he was indeed the driver of the truck.

Security forces in Chechnya have killed 11 suspected militants in a series of separate clashes, the strongman leader of the Russian region said Sunday.
Ramzan Kadyrov said on Instagram that a group of gunmen attempted to launch attacks on police in the provincial capital, Grozny. During the overnight clash in Grozny, they fired at police who tried to stop their vehicle. Police killed four gunmen and captured two others, who have been taken to a hospital.

ISIS is claiming responsibility for a suicide bombing in Yemen Sunday that left dozens dead.
The attack in the southern Yemeni city of Aden killed at least 52 soldiers and injured 34 others, two Yemeni senior security officials told CNN.

Myanmar government forces have started launching attacks on the headquarters of the military wing of one of the country’s ethnic rebel groups, the group said on Saturday.
Tang San, a battalion commander with the Kachin Independence Army, said government forces have been using “fighter jets and heavy weapons continuously'’ on the headquarters in northeastern Mynamar since early Friday.
