Turkey: 3 Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants killed in clashes with army in Tunceli province
Turkish security forces have killed three militants of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in clashes in the eastern province of Tunceli, security sources stated on Feb. 16.
Sources, speaking on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to media, said the operation against the PKK in Tunceli’s Pülümür district began on Feb. 11 and ended on Feb. 16.
The sources said three PKK militants had been killed in a clash during the operation, adding that their shelters had been destroyed and their equipment seized.
