Twenty-nine people have been killed in three days of clashes between rival factions of a militia group in a village in Democratic Republic of Congo’s restive east, an official said on Friday.
The two factions are fighting for control of the village of Bweru in North Kivu province, a region plagued by regular flare-ups of ethnic bloodshed.

Over 30 Saudi-backed Hadi loyalists were killed by the Houthi forces in the Mar’ib Governorate of northern Yemen on Thursday.
The Houthi forces fired several Katyusha rockets and artillery shells at a Hadi loyalist gathering near the Koval Military Camp in Mar’ib, Saba News Agency claimed today.

Nine Iranian border guards were killed on Wednesday near Mirjaveh district after clashes with the armed Balochi insurgent group Army of Justice, the prosecutor general of Zahedan province announced.
Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Movahedi Rad confirming the news on Thursday saying two other border guards were injured during the clashes.

At least 91 insurgents have been killed as deadly clashes erupted among the Taliban insurgents and the loyalists of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group.
According to the local government officials, the majority of the casualties were inflicted to the Taliban insurgents.

Thirty-six members of the ISIS-linked Maute terror group were killed in a series of clashes with government forces in Lanao del Sur, the military said on Monday.
The gunbattle, which started on Friday, ended on Monday morning after the government forces occupied the terror group’s main camp at Sitio Pagalungan, Brgy. Gacap in Piagapo town, Army’s First Infantry Division spokesperson Lt. Col. Jo-Ar Herrera said.
