Afghanistan: 10 rebels killed and 13 wounded in clashes with security forces in Kandahar
At least 10 militants have been killed and 13 others wounded during a clash with security forces in southern Kandahar province, officials said on Wednesday.
The clash erupted late on Tuesday night in the Mianshin district, with both the sides suffering casualties, the governor’s spokesperson, Samim Khpalwak, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the clash broke out after militants stormed security forces posts. He said 10 militants were killed and 13 others wounded in the clash and one police and two army soldiers were injured.
Meanwhile, the Taliban claimed capturing a military base in Mianshin district and inflicting heavy losses on police.
