Former Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman and senior leader of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar Ehsanullah Ehsan has turned himself in to Pakistan’s security forces, according to Pakistani daily Dawn.
“The people, the state and the institutions of Pakistan have made considerable progress in the betterment of the country’s security situation. We have progressed to the point that the people who’ve been planning attacks on Pakistan’s soil from across the border have started to see the error of their ways,” Director general of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor announced Monday.

South Sudanese rebels allied to the ex-first vice president Riek Machar have claimed they repulse multiple attacks by the government forces in Western Bhar el Ghazal and Upper Niles regions.
Brigadier William Gatjiath Deng, rebel spokesperson says attacks by the government on their positions have forced them to retaliate and capture Raja, in Western Bhar el Ghazal on Friday.

A suicide car bomb attack on buses carrying Syrians taken from two besieged government-held towns killed at least 100 people on Saturday.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the blast targeted buses carrying residents moved from the northern towns of Fuaa and Kafraya under a deal reached between the government and rebels.

At least 14 people were killed in the South Sudanese town of Raga when fighting erupted between government forces and the main rebel group, a rebel spokesman said on Saturday, within a week of violence in neighbouring Wau state that killed 16.
The rebels, the main force fighting the government in the famine-hit nation’s civil war, had briefly occupied the northwestern town, near the border with Sudan and Central African Republic, before withdrawing to nearby bases to prepare for a counter-attack.

At least nine suspected Pakistani Taliban fighters and three soldiers have been killed after a shootout following a joint military and police raid in the central district of Dera Ghazi Khan, Pakistan’s military says.
Two soldiers were also wounded in the clash, which targeted a suspected Taliban hideout in the Basti Dadwani area of Dera Ghazi Khan, about 490km south of the capital Islamabad, the military said in a statement.
