Arab and Kurdish forces backed by the U.S.-led coalition began their battle for the Syrian city of Raqqa, the de facto capital of ISIS, on Tuesday morning. The forces have been advancing toward the city for months and now have it surrounded in three directions.
While the battle against the murderous terrorist organization in Mosul continues, the U.S.-led coalition against ISIS announced on Tuesday that the operation to liberate the city of Raqqa in Syria has begun. Last night, at least 12 people were killed by heavy shelling and air strikes in the area.

Syrian army forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad on Sunday recaptured major areas in the eastern countryside of Aleppo province, after the withdrawal of Islamic State’s (ISIS) militants.
Supported by a Russian air cover, the Syrian regime’s troops took control of the Maskana town and more than 20 villages in eastern Aleppo, local sources reported.

Iraqi popular forces have managed to recapture the Iraqi town of Baaj west of Mosul from the ISIS terrorists, the Arab country’s military declared.
The recapture of Baaj will further shrink the northern region under the extremists’ control as part of an ongoing campaign to retake the city of Mosul, the Iraqi military said on Sunday.

London was rocked by a suspected terror attack tonight with at least two dead after a white van ploughed into pedestrians on London Bridge before three people got out and reportedly stabbed bystanders.
Up to 20 people are feared to be injured on the bridge as horrified witnesses reported seeing bodies strewn on the pavement after the incident at about 10pm.

Al-Shabaab militants killed at least one person and destroyed a telecom mast in an attack on the town of Fafi in north-eastern Kenya, Kenyan officials and the militants said on Thursday.
The attack was the latest in a series of deadly raids by the group that has killed more than a dozen Kenyan police officers in recent weeks.
