Libya: 11 killed and over 30 injured in fighting between Wadi Brigade and Brigade 48 in Sabratha
11 persons were killed and over 30 others were injured including civilians in the clashes that took place in Sabratha over the last six days.
The clashes in Sabratha broke out on Sunday between two armed groups from the city – Fighting IS Operations Room also called Wadi Brigade, and Brigade 48 – both are part of the General Staff in the western region under the Government of National Accord.
The Educational Hospital in Sabratha confirmed the number of casualties, saying the conflict led to shortage of medicines and other equipment in the hospital, urging the GNA’s Health Ministry to act.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Sabratha Military Council, Taher Al-Gharabli stressed that the fighting is of no benefit to the city and is a chance for others to use it and divide the city or destabilize it.
