Fifteen alleged members of the New People’s Army were killed while three others were wounded in two separate encounters with government troops in Nasugbu town Tuesday evening, police said.
Batangas police director Senior Superintendent Alden Delvo said joint elements of the 730th Combat Group of the Philippine Airforce, Batangas and Nasugbu police acted on a phone call revealing that armed men were seen at Sitio Pinamintasan in Barangay Aya, Nasugbu.

Early on Tuesday, militants started shelling the villages of Travneve and Hladosove in Donetsk region, the Ukrainian members of the Joint Centre for Control and Co-ordination (JCCC) have reported on the official Facebook page of the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters.
“The Ukrainian side of the JCCC reports: in violation of the provided security guarantees, this morning, November 28, 2017, the illegal armed formations began the shelling of the villages of Travneve and Hladosove (Donetsk region),” the report says.

More than 10,000 local residents are reported displaced in November due to an ongoing conflict in Middle and Lower Shabelle region in Somalia’s south, a Norway-based humanitarian agency said on Monday.
The displacement of people has been triggered by recent fierce fighting between al-Shabaab militants and government forces in the region, the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) said in a statement.

Ten members of Sudan’s controversial counter-insurgency unit have been killed in clashes with fighters loyal to a powerful militia leader in war-torn Darfur, the official SUNA news agency reported Sunday.
Clashes between troops from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and fighters loyal to Musa Hilal erupted when a unit of RSF was ambushed near the hometown of Hilal in the state of North Darfur.

Four U.N. peacekeepers and a Malian soldier were killed and 21 others injured in two attacks on peacekeepers in Mali on Friday, U.N. officials said.
Suspected jihadists attacked peacekeepers carrying out on an operation with Malian defense forces in Indelimane, about 43 miles west of Menaka near the border with Niger, on Friday morning, the officials said.
