Syria: Fierce clashes between Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Islamic State (IS) terrorists in eastern Euphrates river
Fierce clashes erupted between the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Daesh terrorist group on the eastern banks of Euphrates River in the outskirts of Deir Ezzor, the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on Saturday.
The SDF aim to advance on Daesh terrorists in eastern Euphrates River, while Daesh militants managed to control Abu Hamam city and other areas there, Sky News channel quoted SOHR as saying.
The shelling between the SDF and Daesh militants is still ongoing amid continued displacements of the civilians in the area, SOHR added.
