The Israeli military said on Thursday that an aircraft and a tank had targeted two posts belonging to militants in the Gaza Strip after three rockets were launched at Israel.
Sirens sounded in Israel at various locations on a day of heightened tension following demonstrations in the coastal enclave and the occupied West Bank as Palestinians protested at U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement on Wednesday that he was recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Clashes broke out on Tuesday night between members of the Northern Alliance armed groups the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and the Shan State Army-North (SSA-N) in Namtu Township, according to local sources.
Two army officers from the SSA-N, the armed wing of the Shan State Progressive Party (SSPP), told The Irrawaddy that fighting continued throughout the night.

Clashes along the boundary of South Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat provinces on Monday left seven communist rebels and two soldiers dead.
The series of encounters involved New People’s Army guerrillas and personnel of the Army’s 33rd and 27th Infantry Battalions.

A rebel group in South Sudan announced on Sunday that it had merged ranks with the National People’s Alliance Forces (NPAF), an armed movement led by ex-rebel-appointed governor of Liech state, Ruai Kuol Jal.
NPAF’s acting spokesperson, Maj. Gen James Dok Puok confirmed their merger with the South Sudanese Freedom Movement (SSFM).
“I would like to announce to the members and the general public that, the people’s movement welcome the wise and positive decision taken by the leadership of the South Sudan freedom Movement/Army SSFM/A,” Puok said in a statement.

Yemen’s former President Ali Abdullah Saleh has officially announced the dissolution of his partnership with former Houthi militia allies.
“Zero hour is coming to the battlefield in Sanaa… The country had to be saved from the madness of the Houthi group,” Saleh said in statements on Monday morning.
