At least 52 Palestinians have been killed and 2,200 wounded as Israeli troops opened fire on protesters at the border with Israel.
Palestinian health officials added that five of those killed were children.
Of the injured, officials said 1,204 Palestinians were shot and wounded - 116 of who were in serious or critical conditions - while 1,200 others suffered other types of injuries, including from tear gas.
