Syria: Syrian army attacks jihadist rebels inside Idlib buffer zone
The Syrian Arab Army carried out a powerful attack inside the Idlib buffer zone last night after monitoring the jihadist movements along the Hama axis.
According to a military source in the provincial capital of Hama, the Syrian Arab Army’s 11th Tank Division repeatedly struck the defenses of Jaysh Al-Izza near the town of Jinabrah after they were seen moving towards their front-lines.
The Syrian Arab Army would then expand their assault to the towns of Al-Taman’ah and Sukeek after more militants were observed moving towards their lines along the Hama-Idlib axis.
Over the last three weeks, the jihadist rebels have been attempting to cross the Syrian Arab Army’s lines to plant mines and improvised explosives along the roads used by the government forces.
