Syria: Heavy clashes between Islamic State (IS) group and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighters in Sousah

Rival groups are reporting intense battles in eastern Syria between the Islamic State (IS) group and US-backed fighters.

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces said the fighting yesterday was over the village of Sousah where a sandstorm caused bad visibility.

Nigeria: Nigerian troops kill 76 Boko Haram terrorists and Chad soldiers kill 48 others

In what was a double blow to the terrorists on same day, Chadian troops also killed another 48.

Yemen: Coalition air strikes kill 79 Houthi rebels in 48 hours

Saudi-led coalition air strikes in Yemen have killed almost 80 Huthi rebel fighters over 48 hours in the western province of Hodeida, military and medical sources said Tuesday.

The strikes on Hodeida, site of a vital port and target of a renewed coalition offensive, also left seven civilians dead, they said.

Turkey: Turkish army neutralizes 9 Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) terrorists in northern Iraq

The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) neutralized nine Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorists, who were preparing for an attack, in northern Iraq’s Zap and Avashin-Basyan regions in air operations during the last two days, according to a statement.

Afghanistan: 25 Taliban and 10 policemen killed in clashes in Wardak province

At least 10 policemen were killed in clashes with Taliban fighters in the central Afghan province of Wardak, officials said on Sunday, amid fighting to wrest control of arterial highways a day after Taliban fighters blew up bridges.

The Taliban set fire to a government building in Wardak’s Sayeed Abad district and killed the district police chief along with nine other policemen on Saturday night, a senior police official said.
