An army convoy, escorted by elements of the Somalia army, was hit, Monday, by an explosives-laden vehicle in Mogadishu.
The Italians, it was reported, were hit at a place not far from the Ministry of Defense in the Dayniile area of the terror-besieged city.
Fighting broke out between the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and the Myanmar Army (or Tatmadaw) in Muse and Kukai townships in northern Shan State over the weekend, displacing around 200 people, according to local sources.
The fighting erupted after Tatmadaw troops tried to apprehend TNLA soldiers who were reportedly demanding money from drivers on the Muse-Lashio highway.
Six people, including two soldiers, died in an overnight Boko Haram attack near Lake Chad with Chadian troops killing 17 assailants in a counter-offensive.
