Multiple explosions have killed at least six people and wounded 23 near a Shi’ite shrine in Kabul, Afghan officials say.

Clashes erupted once more between the Iraqi army and a Yezidi (Ezidi) militia group affiliated to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in Sinjar (Shingal) on Tuesday, days after an initial confrontation that resulted in casualties on both sides.
It is the second showdown involving the two forces after Sunday’s incident in Shingal’s Snuny district.

The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces are now in control of an ISIS encampment in Baghouz after weeks of operations and attacks on the village. But isolated gun battles are continuing in the area, seen as ISIS’ last remaining redoubt.
“This is not a victory announcement, but a significant progress in the fight against Daesh,” said Mustafa Bali, the head of the SDF press office. In a tweet, he added, “Clashes are continuing as a group of ISIS terrorists who are confined into a tiny area still fight back.”

Fighting between Myanmar’s military and ethnic Rakhine insurgents has now reached the ancient temples of Mrauk U, the former capital of the Rakhine kingdom and a popular tourist site, local residents said on Monday (Mar 18).
Rakhine state in Myanmar’s west is riven with ethnic and religious divisions.

Two Turkish soldiers have been killed following clashes with suspected Kurdish militants in Iraq, the defence ministry reported on Saturday.
Eight more troops were injured during the Turkish operation in northern Iraq on Saturday, where Ankara keeps a military force to combat Kurdish militants, according to Reuters.
