As Burmese military’s unilateral four-month ceasefire period is ending, its troops launched renewed military operations in northern Shan state.

Burmese Army (BA) troops entered into Kachin Independence Army (KIA)’s 36th Battalion area beginning April 18 and the two sides have fought for almost a week.

Northern Ireland: Paramilitary group New IRA admits murder of journalist Lyra McKee and offers ’sincere apologies’

The paramilitary group blamed for shooting dead Lyra McKee in Derry last night apologised for the murder of the 29-year-old journalist.

Ms McKee was shot in the head during rioting in the Creggan last Thursday night.

Sri Lanka: Islamic State (IS) claims responsibility for Sri Lanka terror attacks that killed 321 people

The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the Sri Lanka attacks through its Amaq news agency, Reuters reported on Monday. “A security source told Amaq agency the perpetrators of the attack targeting the citizens of [US-led] coalition countries and Christians in Sri Lanka were soldiers of the Islamic State,” a statement released by the Islamic State on Amaq news agency said. The group has not given any evidence, the Reuters report adds.

Yemen: Houthi forces launch first attack with new ballistic missile killing more than 40 Saudi Coalition fighters

The Houthi Forces launched their first attack with their new Badr-F ballistic missile on Saturday, targeting a Saudi military camp along the Yemeni border.

According to the official media wing of the Houthi forces, the Badr-F missile scored a direct hit on the Al-Istiqbal Camp in the Tawal area on Saturday.

Libya: Haftar’s fighter jets rock Tripoli’s residential areas

Khalifa Haftar’s Air Force jets carried out on early hours of Sunday several airstrikes on different locations in Tripoli, including Sabiaa and Ain Zara, allegedly targeting Government of National Accord forces positions.

According to eyewitnesses from Tripoli, Haftar’s aircraft or unmanned drone tried first to target Mitiga Airport, but faced with anti-aircraft fire, it changed its aims.
