Israeli aircraft attacked a Hamas target in the Gaza Strip on Thursday after a Palestinian rocket strike, the Israeli military said, in the first serious cross-border flare-up since a surge in fighting last month.
A second rocket launched in the evening hit a house in the Israeli border town of Sderot but caused no casualties, police said. There was no immediate comment from Palestinian factions.

The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) has explained the fallout of the attack by insurgents on Darak, near lake chad earlier this week.
In a statement, the MNJTF Chief of military public information, Colonel Timothy Antigha, said 64 insurgents and 10 personnel of the joint task force lost their lives in the clash which took place in Darak, Northern Cameroon.

The Saudi-led military coalition vowed to respond firmly to a missile attack by Yemeni Houthi forces on a civilian airport in southern Saudi Arabia on Wednesday which wounded 26 people.
The Western-backed alliance that has been battling the Iran-aligned Houthi movement in Yemen said the early morning attack proved Tehran’s support for what it called cross-border terrorism.

At least 95 people were killed when gunmen raided their village in central Mali late on Sunday, France 24 has confirmed, marking the latest attack in a region that has witnessed a resurgence of ethnic and jihadist violence.
The attack took place in the ethnic Dogon village of Sobane, in Mali’s central Mopti region, where Dogon hunters and members of the largely nomadic Fulani ethnic group have repeatedly clashed in recent months.

Al-Qaeda-linked militants captured a town in Somalia’s semi-autonomous region of Puntland, after taking over a military base.
Al-Shabaab fighters seized Af-Urur on Saturday after soldiers moved from the base due to a military tactic, Farah Ali, a military officer said by phone.
