Yemen: Saudi-led coalition airstrikes target a Houthi military base in Ibb province
Fighter jets of the Saudi Arabia-led coalition on Sunday launched airstrikes against a military base of the Houthi rebels in Yemen’s central province of Ibb, a government official told Xinhua.
A number of Houthi military sites and gatherings inside Hamzah military base, located in the district of Sabrah in the southeast of the province, were targeted in five Saudi-led airstrikes, the government official said on condition of anonymity.
“Arms caches and armored vehicles were destroyed during the airstrikes launched after receiving important intelligence tips about the military location,” the source added.
“The Houthi rebels used Hamzah military camp as a center for recruiting and mobilizing new fighters for the battles in Dhalea province,” he noted.
