A ceasefire by Syrian government forces will come into force on Saturday morning in the rebel-held province of Idlib, Russia has announced.
The unilateral agreement will begin at 06:00 (03:00 GMT), Russia’s defence ministry said.
On August 28, the armed formations of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbass 14 times.
“The enemy used 82mm and 120mm mortars, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.
