Two Al-Shabaab militants surrendered on Saturday to the Somali regional state forces in the country’s southern region of Lower Juba, officials said, Garowe Online reports.
Jubaland security officials say they received in Afmadow town the fighters indentified as Geedi Mohamed Ali and Abdulaziz Mohamed after ditching their life in the group and turned themselves in.

At least 13 people, including civilians, were killed in the renewed clashes that began on Wednesday in the Yemeni interim capital Aden, medical sources and eyewitnesses said.
On Wednesday, violent clashes broke out in Aden between the presidential guards of the internationally-recognized government and the UAE-backed Security Belt forces. The clashes erupted after the call from the separatist Southern Transitional Council to its loyal forces to pound the Presidential compound and topple the government.

Clashes broke out on Wednesday between Indian and Pakistani troops along the border in Kashmir, according to Fars news.
Local media reported that troops on the border had exchanged heavy fire and that Pakistani troops have fired mortars in the clashes.

Mozambique’s president and the leader of Renamo, a former rebel movement-turned-opposition party, have signed a peace accord to end armed hostilities.
Thousands of Renamo’s remaining fighters are disarming just weeks before a visit by Pope Francis and a national election scheduled for mid-October that will test the now-political rivals’ new resolve.

Turkey and the US were on a collision course Tuesday as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan threatened to launch an offensive against a Kurdish militia in northern Syria – a move Pentagon officials deem “unacceptable”.
Erdogan has repeatedly warned that the Turkish military is preparing an operation in Syria against the Kurdish YPG militia, which the US has supported as the main fighting force against the Islamic State (IS) group.
