Forces of Libya’s UN-backed government on Thursday announced the killing of 16 soldiers of the east-based army in southern Tripoli.
“Our brave forces continue to control Al-Yarmouk camp (southern Tripoli), after luring militias of the war criminal Haftar (eastern-based army), killing 16 of their troops and taking over three of their armored vehicles,” the UN-backed government forces said in a statement.

Burundi’s security forces killed 14 gunmen who crossed into its northwestern region from the Democratic Republic of Congo, in an attack that shows resistance against President Pierre Nkurunziza is increasing.
The forces confiscated some rifles from the men in Bubanza province on Tuesday, deputy Burundi police spokesman Moise Nkurunziza told reporters in the commercial capital, Bujumbura, on Wednesday.

About four Yemeni soldiers were killed and eight others injured on Monday during an armed confrontation in the southern province of Abyan, a military official told Xinhua.
According to the local military official, who asked to remain anonymous, pro-government Yemeni forces clashed with security units of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Mudiyah district in the eastern part of Abyan.
