The air force struck Islamic Jihad targets in the Gaza Strip overnight in response to ceasefire violations according to an IDF spokesperson’s announcement.
Among targets hit were a military compound used to produce rockets and the organizations command center.

Scores of Houthi rebels were killed and a commander was injured in clashes with government forces in western Yemen, the country’s army said on Wednesday.
“Houthi commander Abu Jaffar al-Talbi was injured and tens of rebels were killed in a clash with the government forces in Al-Hudaydah province,” the Yemeni army said in a statement.

Israel came under heavy bombardment Tuesday as almost 200 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip in retaliation for the targeted killing of a senior Islamic Jihad leader.
Two Israelis were injured by shrapnel in the barrage of some 190 rockets since Baha Abu Al-Atta — the top commander of the Iranian-backed Palestinian militant group — and his wife were killed in their home in the Gaza Strip, according to the Times of Israel.

Congolese forces killed the leader of an offshoot of a Hutu militia in the restive east of the country, the army said, two months after killing the leader of the main faction.
Juvenal Musabimana led a splinter group of the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR), founded by Hutu officials who fled Rwanda after orchestrating the 1994 genocide.

A roadside blast wounded five Italian Special Forces soldiers in northern Iraq on Sunday as they were on a training mission to assist Iraqi troops, Italian military officials said.
The Italian Defense Ministry said three of the wounded were in “grave condition” in the explosion. An Iraqi security official said the bomb exploded next to their vehicle as they were traveling just outside Kirkuk, wounding six Italian soldiers.
