Sudanese government and Sudanese Revolutionary Front (Darfur Track) have signed a framework agreement on the issues they will discuss in the direct talks for peace in Darfur.
The ongoing discussions for peace in Darfur come after the signing on 11 September of confidence-building measures including the cessation of hostilities and humanitarian access.

Forces affiliated with the UN-recognised Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA) have launched a new attack on the Libyan National Army (LNA) south of Tripoli.
The Libya Observer reported that the forces carried out the offensive on renegade military commander Khalifa Haftar’s forces in the vicinity of Tripoli airport on Saturday.

A truck bomb exploding Saturday morning at a security checkpoint in Mogadishu, Somalia, killed at least 90 people.
According to the country’s foreign minister, the dead include students and two Turkish nationals.

An affiliate of the Islamic State says it executed 11 Christians in Nigeria in retaliation for the killings of leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and his spokesman earlier this year, according to Agence France-Presse.
The terrorist group released a video on Thursday through its online news agency, Telegram, that reportedly shows masked militants from the Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) shooting and stabbing 11 blindfolded men, the AFP and Reuters report.

Al-Zawiya Educational Hospital said Thursday that it had received two bodies of civilians killed in airstrikes by Khalifa Haftar’s warplanes on Al-Zawiya, adding that eight injured persons had also arrived at the hospital and that five of them were admitted to the intensive care unit.
