A woman and a child were among eight people killed in a car bomb attack in a Turkish-held border town in northern Syria, the defence ministry said.
The car exploded on Monday in the village of Suluk about 20 kilometres (12 miles) southeast of the Syrian border town of Tal Abyad, the ministry said.

On December 23, the armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire eight times in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas.
“The enemy used 82mm mortars banned under the Minsk agreements, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and other small arms to shell positions of the Joint Forces,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

French forces have killed 33 militants in an operation in Mali, according to President Emmanuel Macron.
