Libya: Haftar commander killed in clashes with Government of National Accord (GNA) forces

A commander in the so-called Libyan National Army (LNA) loyal to General Khalifa Haftar was killed yesterday along with one of his aides in clashes with the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) forces in Al-Washka, Sputnik has reported.

They were named by a military source as LNA commander Salem Driaq and Gaddafi Al-Sadai. Driaq was the commander of the Sirte operations room.

Nigeria: Killed by army at least 100 Boko Haram terrorists

At least 100 terrorists were killed in counter-terror operations against Boko Haram, officials said late Friday.

Military Training and Operations Chief Enobong Okon Udoh said the terrorists were killed in the offensive against Boko Haram in the province of Borno.

Chad: Boko Haram jihadists attack kills nearly 100 Chadian troops

Boko Haram jihadists have killed nearly 100 Chadian soldiers in a seven-hour attack on an island army base, in their deadliest assault yet on the country’s armed forces.

President Idriss Deby told Chad television he travelled to the scene of the attack on Tuesday to pay tribute to the 92 dead soldiers, saying it was the first time so many troops had been lost.

Afghanistan: 10 insurgents and 5 policemen killed in clashes in two provinces

Authorities of Afghanistan announced on Thursday that clashes that took place in two provinces of Afghanistan have resulted in the death of five police officials and 10 Taliban insurgents on Wednesday night.

Chairman of the provincial council of Kunduz province of Afghanistan, Mohammad Yousuf Ayoubi, said that an attack that was launched by Talbian militants on a security checkpoint in the province has resulted in the death of five police officials and left three injured and six missing.
