Libya: Failed new attack by Haftar’s militia groups in southern Tripoli

Warlord Khalifa Haftar’s militia groups, backed by Wagner and Sudanese mercenaries, launched an all-out attack in Mashrou and Yarmouk frontlines in southern Tripoli on Saturday night, but it ended in failure.

The attack was backed by sleeper cells and a wave of fake news on TV and social media pages. As the fighting began, media outlets loyal to Haftar claimed that “our forces had taken control of Abu Salim and Furnaj districts and members of Presidential Council, ministers and Turkish officers had escaped to Misrata.”

Democratic Republic of the Congo: 23 dead in clashes between army and Cooperative For the Development of Congo (CODECO) militia in Ituri

Twenty-three militias were killed in fighting between the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) and militias in Ituri province, the army said Friday.

After fierce battles with members of the Cooperative For the Development of Congo (CODECO) militia group Thursday, the army regained control of four villages once occupied by militiamen in Bese, 90 kilometers (55 miles) north of Bunia, in the territory of Djugu, army spokesman Lt. Jules Ngongo, told reporters.

Yemen: Military source has announced the death of Houthi Special Forces commander in clashes with army

A government military source announced on Thursday that a Houthi movement’s Special Forces Commander was killed in battle against the Yemeni army.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Anadolu Agency that: “Special Forces Commander Major General Mohammed Al-Hamran was killed during clashes with the army.”

Turkey: 10 Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) fighters killed in Turkey and in northern Iraq

Turkish airstrikes killed four members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in northern Iraq and six others across Turkey, said Turkey’s defense and interior ministries on Thursday.

“Four PKK terrorists were neutralized in Hakurk, Zap and Haftanin regions in an air-backed operation after determined by means of reconnaissance and surveillance. Our operations continue without pausing,” said the ministry in its Twitter account.

Israel: Israel strikes 3 Hamas targets in Gaza after a rocket launch

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it hit several Hamas targets in Gaza in response to a rocket launched at southern Israel Tuesday night.

The rocket landed in an open area in the Eshkol region but no injuries were reported.
