Fierce fighting for Yemen’s strategic Marib city has killed 70 pro-government and Huthi rebel fighters over the past 24 hours, with battles raging on three fronts, loyalist military officials said Sunday.
The Huthis have been trying to seize Marib, the capital of an oil-rich region and the government’s last significant pocket of territory in the north, since February.

Fatira, Sfuhen, Flefel, Binin and others in the southern rural Idlib were shelled by the Syrian Government Forces.
In the same relation, areas in Anghawi, and Qlidine in north western Hama were shelled with heavy machinery by the Syrian Government Forces with no reports on human losses according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the SHOR.

The Kremlin says it fears the resumption of full-scale fighting in eastern Ukraine and could take steps to protect civilians there, a stark warning that comes amid a Russian troop build-up along the border.
The statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, reflected the Kremlin’s determination to prevent Ukraine from using force to try to reclaim control over separatist-controlled territory in the country’s east.

The Polisario Front’s police chief has been killed in the disputed Western Sahara region, a statement from the separatists said Wednesday.
“The commander of the national gendarmerie Addah al-Bendir fell on Tuesday as a martyr on the field of honour,” the pro-independence movement’s defence ministry said in a statement.

Over 1,000 locals in Namtu, northern Shan State have been displaced by fighting between the Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS) and the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA).
The two Shan State-based ethnic armed groups have been fighting each other since March 29 over territorial disputes in Namtu.
