Myanmar’s security forces clashed with villagers armed with catapults and crossbows during a search for weapons in the Ayeyarwady river delta region on Saturday and local media reported as many as 20 people had been killed.
State television news said three “terrorists” had been killed and two arrested at the village of Hlayswe as security forces went to apprehend a man accused of plotting against the state.

The Ethiopian government has defiantly brushed aside international calls for a ceasefire in the northern province of Tigray, saying its forces are close to “finalising operations” and will soon eliminate all armed opposition.
In recent days the US, United Nations, UK and many European states have called for a pause in hostilities to allow humanitarian organisations to reach millions of people who observers say face famine.

Over 100 Taliban terrorists were killed in fighting with government forces across the country, as per Afghan Defence Ministry.
According to Khaama Press, the Ministry stated that clashes between Afghan government forces and the Taliban have left more than 100 terrorists dead. During the operations, 50 terrorists were wounded, a number of weapons were seized and some amount of ammunition was destroyed.

At least 50 people have been killed in two overnight attacks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s deeply troubled east, a military official and monitors said.
A local official blamed the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), which has been linked to the ISIL (ISIS) group. Military spokesman Jules Ngongo told the dpa news agency that ADF fighters attacked the villages of Boga and Tchabi in the eastern Ituri region.

The Kachin Independence Army (KIA) launched an artillery attack on Putao airport on Tuesday morning.
The KIA fired three artillery shells into the airport compound at around 4am but missed the runway.
