Burma-Myanmar: 8 resistance fighters killed in firefight with military junta troops
Eight resistance fighters were killed during a firefight with Myanmar junta soldiers in Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region, on Sunday, according to people’s defense forces (PDFs).
On Sunday morning, several PDFs attacked around 100 troops near Minywa village in the township.
The troops had burned houses in four villages in the east of Wetlet on Saturday and Sunday.
PDF videos show resistance fighters, mostly armed with improvised firearms, fighting regime troops armed with automatic weapons and explosives.
