Four soldiers have been killed and 58 injured in a drone strike targeting an army base in northern Israel, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has said.
The IDF added seven soldiers had been severely injured in the attack on a base “adjacent to Binyamina” - a town around 20 miles (33km) to the south of Haifa.

Fifty-nine al-Shabaab terrorists and four soldiers were killed in two separate military operations in Somalia’s southern and central provinces, the country’s Information Ministry said on Tuesday, Anadolu Agency reports.
The Somali National Army (SNA) conducted military operations against al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Shabaab militants in the east of Galgaduud and Middle Shabelle regions, supported by local militias and international security forces, the Ministry said in a statement.

Clashes in several areas across Yemen on Friday killed 22 Shiite rebels and 11 members of pro-government forces, military officials said, after peace talks hit a new barrier.
Fierce battles erupted in the northern Jawf province when Houthi rebels attacked loyalists in Al-Motoon district, triggering a counter attack by government forces backed by warplanes from the Saudi-led coalition, a military official said. The fighting left 13 rebels dead, while eight loyalists were killed by mistake in an air strike that missed its target, the official added.

Iran fired waves of missiles at Israel on Tuesday in what it called a revenge attack for Israel’s killing of several Hezbollah leaders including its top leader Hassan Nasrallah.
There were no immediate reports of injuries from the barrage, which targeted Tel Aviv and other central parts of Israel. Iran fired about 180 missiles, Israel’s military said. The attack comes as the Middle East appears to be teetering on the brink of a multi-state war and followed an Israeli ground operation into Lebanon, where Iran-backed Hezbollah is based.

Following intensive bombing raids over Beirut, and artillery fire, the Israeli army has launched a ground invasion into Lebanon on the northern border.
The widely anticipated invasion follows weeks of bombings, and assassinations, culminating in the detonation of thousands of pagers and walkie talkies, and the dropping of eighty 2,000 pound bombs from a fleet of F-16 aircraft on residential buildings in Beirut on Friday, which reportedly killed hundreds of people including a raft of Hezbollah commanders, chief among them, the militant group’s Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah.
