Mali’s army said, Sunday, it had thwarted a new attack on a military camp in the center of the country, two days after a deadly suicide attack in a strategic garrison town near the capital.

At least 13 people have been killed in fighting between armed groups in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, a spokesman for the city’s emergency services said.
Fighters exchanged fire in a central district where several government and international agencies, along with diplomatic missions, are based, and clashes spread to the areas of Ain Zara and Asbaa on Friday.

Fresh clashes between M23 rebels and soldiers erupted in eastern DR Congo on Thursday, officials said, as the militia declared that it was not bound by a ceasefire agreement.
M23 spokesman Willy Ngoma told AFP that the deal brokered between the Congolese and Rwandan presidents in Angola on Wednesday was irrelevant.

Although the Ethiopian federal government repeatedly stated its readiness to resolve the situation in the northern part of the country, the TPLF has continued belligerence and beating drums of war, state-affiliated Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC) quoted Legesse Tulu, Ethiopian government spokesperson, as saying.
He said the rebel group is mobilizing the people of Tigray for another devastating war, and eventually disrupt the upcoming agricultural work that will ultimately cause another round of disaster to the East African country.
