Libya’s unity government said on Thursday that five women were killed and five civilians wounded in Tripoli the previous day in bombardment by the forces of eastern-based military strongman Khalifa Haftar.
Amine Al-Hachemi, spokesman for the Health Ministry of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord, said: “Rockets and shells hit houses in the neighborhoods of Ain Zara and Bab Ben Ghachir.”

Armed men attacked a Malian army camp in the Gao region in the north, killing at least 29 soldiers, the army said Thursday.
The attack on the post in Tarkint also wounded at least five people, said an army spokesman, Lt. Col. Diarran Kone.

Violent clashes were reported between forces loyal to the Government of National Accord (GNA) and the Libyan National Army (LNA) forces near Tripoli’s international airport, on Sunday.
Footage shows soldiers backing the GNA forces firing with a tank as well as firearms, while clashes are ongoing.

A March 10 U.S. airstrike killed five al-Shabaab targets in Somalia without harming any civilians, U.S. Africa Command reported.
The strike was carried out near Janaale, which is located about 75 kilometers (or approximately 47 miles) southwest of Mogadishu in Somalia’s Lower Shabelle region, and was coordinated with Somalia’s federal government, the command said.

Military forces affiliate with Libyan Commander Khalifa Haftar carried out two separate strikes on two different schools in Tripoli, Arabi21 reported yesterday.
The two schools are located in the vicinity of Abu Salim municipality.
