The Sudanese government and the SPLM-N led by Malik Agar signed a framework peace agreement in Juba on Friday, ahead of comprehensive peace agreement with armed groups before mid-February.
The purpose of the framework agreement with Agar group which is part of the Sudanese Revolutionary Front (SRF) is to end the nearly 9-year armed conflict in the Blue Nile and South Kordofan states.

Terrorists killed 36 civilians on Monday when they attacked villages in northern Burkina Faso.
The militants killed 32 civilians when they attacked and burnt the market in Nagraogo village before killing four more people in Alamou village, the government said on Tuesday.

Intense gunfire between two rival jihadist groups in northeast Nigeria has left several fighters dead, two sources with close knowledge of the incident.
Fighters in pickup trucks from a Boko Haram faction loyal to Abubakar Shekau stormed a camp belonging to rival IS-aligned Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), resulting in a fierce gunbattle that caused several fatalities, sources told AFP.

As world leaders met in Berlin Sunday to chart a way forward for peace in Libya, forces of warlord Khalifa Haftar have been violating a week-old cease-fire around the capital Tripoli.
Periodic gunshots have been heard south of the Libyan capital, and black smoke can be seen rising, according to reports on the ground.

Somali government forces fended off an attack by the al-Shabaab militant group near the capital city of Mogadishu Friday night, local authorities said, Garowe Online reports.
The al-Qaeda-linked militants attacked Afgoye town in Lower Shabelle region, about 30 km southwest of Mogadishu from different directions, in an attempt to overrun a military camp run by SNA.
