Sixteen people died and two were seriously injured in an attack on a Mosque in Burkina Faso’s volatile north, security sources said Saturday.
“Armed men attacked the Grand Mosque in Salmossi between 7 and 8 pm (Friday), killing at least 16 people,” a source told AFP, adding that 13 died on the spot and three succumbed to their injuries later.

The Libyan Army forces under the command of the Presidential Council’s government said they are still in control of Al-Aziziya district in southern Tripoli and the area from the district to Al-Sabea after heavy clashes with Khalifa Haftar’s forces that attacked from two different frontlines.
The Libyan Army added in a statement that Volcano of Rage Operation forces had full control over the area from Al-Aziziya to Al-Sabea after Haftar’s forces had retreated, adding that they had seized four armored vehicles, including one form the UAE, and captured nine fighters.

Rwandan security forces have killed 19 “terrorists” blamed for an attack that resulted in the deaths of 14 people, police said.

Seven ISIS members in Libya were killed in a new US airstrike on September 29 in the country’s southwest, according to a statement from the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM).
In three other attacks on September 19, 24, and 27, a total of 8, 11, and 17 terrorists were killed, respectively, AFRICOM said.
