The Libyan Army forces under the command of the Presidential Council’s government launched an attack on Khalifa Haftar’s forces positions in Urban town, some 30 km to southeastern Gharyan, and managed to enter and seize most of the town, a source from Burkan Al-Ghadab (Volcano of Rage) Operation said on Wednesday.
The source added that Haftar’s forces were pushed back to Jaafra area in the center of Urban town, while Libyan Army forces destroyed four of their armored vehicles, indicating that seizing control of Urban is crucial as it is a very significant supply line for Haftar’s forces toward Tarhouna.

Representatives of the Beni Amer and Nuba tribes in Sudan’s Red Sea state signed a reconciliation deal on Sunday under pressure from the country’s most prominent military commander after clashes that triggered a state of emergency and left at least 16 dead last month.
Sudan is embarking on a three-year transition after the overthrow of former president Omar al-Bashir in April and faces challenges including simmering insecurity in several regions and a deep economic crisis.

Islamic State claimed fighters from its West Africa Province affiliate killed 10 Nigerian soldiers and injured others in an attack on a military base in Gajiram in the Lake Chad area of Borno state, in the third attack in the area in the last week.
In a statement released on Thursday, ISIS claimed ISWAP fighters captured six four-wheel drive vehicles, weapons and ammunition, and burned an armored vehicle in the attack on a Nigerian Army base in Gajiram on Wednesday, September 4.

The member of Murzuq municipality Mohammed Omar said a warplane for Khalifa Haftar’s forces struck Saturday afternoon Murzuq in southern Libya twice.
Omar told the German news agency that between six and eight people had been killed in airstrikes on eastern part of the town - Anti-Desertification Project - near the meteorology building where many houses are located.

Somaliland and Puntland are in new row following the attack on a convoy of top Somaliland government officials by suspected Puntland militia on Wednesday.
According to a statement from Somaliland government, suspected militia from Puntland attacked a convoy of Somaliland officials, including the Governor of Badhan, as it passed through the Hadaftimo District of the Sanaag Region.
