At least four Maoists were gunned down in a fierce encounter with the security personnel in Bihar’s Aurangabad district on Thursday evening.
The gun-battle between security forces and Maoists, owing allegiance to the CPI (Maoist), began on Thursday afternoon in which more than 500 rounds of firing took place from both the sides.

Two border guards were killed in clashes with militants near the country’s border with Pakistan, according to the elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Sunday.
In a statement, the IRGC said the fatalities occurred during confrontations between border guards and gunmen in Saravan border area, the official IRNA news agency reported.

The Myanmar military used an attack helicopter to conduct air strikes during fighting with the Arakan Army (AA) in a rural area of conflict-ridden northern Rakhine’s Buthidaung Township on Thursday, according to local residents and the AA.
According to the AA’s battle update on Wednesday, a Myanmar military (or Tatmadaw) helicopter conducted bombardment and machine-gun strikes against AA rebels twice in the afternoon near Buthidaung’s Kan Pyin village after a Tatmadaw infantry unit sustained heavy losses in the area.

An Afghan regional governor said 25 members of the country’s elite commando units have been killed in fighting with the Taliban.
The incident, which occurred on July 15 in the northern province of Badghis, is the latest in which specially trained Afghan military units have suffered unusually high death tolls.

At least three Afghan security forces were killed Saturday when Taliban insurgents attacked a hotel, officials said, as violence continues across Afghanistan despite US-led efforts to end the war.
The assault took place in Qala-i-Naw, the capital of the western province of Badghis, when attackers struck a commercial area housing the hotel and several shops in the small city.
