Over the past 24 hours, Armenian armed forces have violated the ceasefire along the line of contact between Azerbaijani and Armenian troops 22 times, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said April 29, Trend reports.
The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan.

Fighting between the Islamic State terror group and Taliban insurgents has displaced more than 450 families in eastern Nangarhar province in recent days, Afghan officials told VOA.
Fighting erupted Monday when IS militants attacked areas under Taliban control in Sherzad and Khogyani districts of Nangarhar province, officials said.

As Burmese military’s unilateral four-month ceasefire period is ending, its troops launched renewed military operations in northern Shan state.
Burmese Army (BA) troops entered into Kachin Independence Army (KIA)’s 36th Battalion area beginning April 18 and the two sides have fought for almost a week.

The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the Sri Lanka attacks through its Amaq news agency, Reuters reported on Monday. “A security source told Amaq agency the perpetrators of the attack targeting the citizens of [US-led] coalition countries and Christians in Sri Lanka were soldiers of the Islamic State,” a statement released by the Islamic State on Amaq news agency said. The group has not given any evidence, the Reuters report adds.

Islamic State has claimed responsibility for an attack at the communications ministry in the Afghan capital Kabul that killed seven people, the militant group’s Amaq news agency said on Sunday.
Saturday’s attack began when a suicide bomber detonated explosives just outside the ministry building and three other assailants then entered the premises.
