Russia: Russian air force kills up to 200 terrorist militants in Syria

Russian aircraft target a terrorist stronghold near the western Syrian city of Palmyra, killing up to 200 terrorists and afflicting considerable material damages on them.

Alexander Karpov, the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria — a subdivision of the Russian Armed Forces, announced the news on Monday.

Yemen: 70 dead as battle for Marib rages on three fronts

Fierce fighting for Yemen’s strategic Marib city has killed 70 pro-government and Huthi rebel fighters over the past 24 hours, with battles raging on three fronts, loyalist military officials said Sunday.

The Huthis have been trying to seize Marib, the capital of an oil-rich region and the government’s last significant pocket of territory in the north, since February.

Syria: Syrian government forces shell Idlib and Hama

Fatira, Sfuhen, Flefel, Binin and others in the southern rural Idlib were shelled by the Syrian Government Forces.

In the same relation, areas in Anghawi, and Qlidine in north western Hama were shelled with heavy machinery by the Syrian Government Forces with no reports on human losses according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the SHOR.

Syria: Syrian kurdish forces arrest several people in anti ISIS operation at al-Hol camp

Kurdish-led forces in northeast Syria have arrested nine people, including suspected members of ISIL (ISIS), during a security sweep in a sprawling camp in northeastern Syria housing families of fighters.

The campaign by nearly 5,000 of the US-backed Kurdish-led forces came on the heel of a spike in violence in al-Hol camp, home to more than 60,000 people, many of them supporters or families of ISIL fighters.

Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia proposes ceasefire plan to Yemen’s Houthi rebels

Saudi Arabia has announced a plan to offer its rivals in Yemen’s long-running war a nationwide ceasefire under the auspices of the United Nations, the kingdom’s foreign minister said.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, the kingdom’s foreign minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, said the ceasefire proposed to the Houthi rebels is envisioned “for the entire conflict”, including allowing for the main airport in Yemen’s rebel-held capital, Sanaa, to reopen.
