Forces loyal to the Yemeni government on Saturday launched a large military offensive against the Houthi rebels in the southern province of Dhalea, a military official told Xinhua.
The joint pro-government forces, covered by warplanes of the Saudi-led coalition, attacked several locations of the Houthi rebels in the northern part of Dhalea, said a local military official on condition of anonymity.

Israel’s army launched new air strikes Sunday against Hamas positions in Gaza and closed the fishing zone around the Palestinian enclave in response to rockets and firebombs sent into Israeli territory.
The measures came after a week of heightened tensions, including clashes on Saturday evening along the Gaza-Israeli border, the army said.

Renewed clashes have erupted between forces loyal to the internationally-recognised Yemeni government and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Abyan Governorate, south-east of Yemen.
A RT correspondent said the clashes erupted one day after the pro-government forces brought reinforcements from Marib governorate to the coastal city of Shakra.

Turkey has intensified attacks against the fighters of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), an opposition group to Tehran, killing seven of its fighters in two separate attacks in recent days, the group said in a statement.
“In the past days… Turkey targeted twice from the air the villages in Mawat town in Sharbazher region using drones and warplanes,” the statement reads. The first attack occurred on Tuesday, with no casualties, says the statement

Clashes between opposition groups and pro-Assad fighters in northwestern Syria on Monday thwarted regime’s advance and left 12 pro-regime men dead, a Britain-based war monitoring group said.
Another 17 pro-regime fighters were wounded while on the opposition-led side six fighters died, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
