Colombia: National Liberation Army (ELN) rebels say have freed all hostages under deal with government

Colombia’s National Liberation Army (ELN) rebels said on Friday they have freed all hostages under a deal made with the country’s government to end kidnapping for ransom.

“The Central Command ordered the liberation of all people held for economic ends, all units of the ELN have been reviewed and the order was completely followed,” the ELN said in a statement posted to its website.

Ukraine: Russians strike more than 300 times in Zaporizhzhia region over 24 hours

Over the past day, the enemy army struck 306 times at six settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region.

The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

Transnistria: Moldovan separatists to ask Putin to annex their region

Pro-Russia rebels in a separatist part of Moldova are preparing to ask Vladimir Putin to annex their region amid warnings that an emboldened Kremlin is trying to destabilise Europe.

Gennady Chorba, a politician in Transnistria, which borders Ukraine, has said the rebel government will submit its request to the Kremlin on Wednesday during a special congress that last met in 2006.

Ukraine: In overnight attacks, russians try to destroy Ukrainian air defense systems with drones and missiles

First, the Russians launched missiles from the south and then attacked with Iranian-made Shahed “kamikaze” drones, Ukrainian forces reported.

“At the beginning of the night, the enemy tried with the help of tactical aviation from the Black Sea to destroy our air defense system, for which they used Kh-31P missiles. But they were shot down over the sea,” Humenyuk said.

Burma-Myanmar: Arakan Army (AA) seizes a military junta police station near Rakhine State’s capital Sittwe

The Arakan Army (AA) says it seized Ponnagyun Township police station near Rakhine State’s capital Sittwe on Thursday.

Ponnagyun is on the Yangon-Sittwe road about 30km north of the state capital, where the regime has tightened security.
